And speaking of young people taking over the world…
This Saturday the Bus is throwing down at Teen Summit ’09, an event run by and for youth in the White Center/Delridge/Westside community of Seattle. It’s got workshops, jobs resources, and, naturally, the Bus.
But our favorite part is that the whole shebang is run by youth from the neighborhood – a group of young women who’ve named themselves the Smart Girls, and their individual nommes de organizing are, respectively, Capitol S, Capitol G, and Capitol Hill Bound. Yes, they are that badass.
It’s going down at the Southwest Boys and Girls Club, and if you live in the area, the Bus cordially requests your presence.
