First Bus trip of the year!

WABusSmaller

We’ve been waiting for this day – Bus trip season is upon us again!

On June 27th, the Bus is heading to Tacoma in support of Tac Town mayoral candidate Marilyn Strickland. It’s a homecoming for the Bus – Marilyn was a member of the Bus’s first class of candidates, and we’re thrilled to pieces to support her next political step.

Who’s going to help Marilyn win? You are. Get on the Bus on June 27th, and raise the Bus bar to the ceiling for the rest of the summer.

This is it. The Bus is sparkling clean. Marilyn has volunteers ready to knock from Proctor to Hilltop. Young people are on the roll. The year is two thousand and shine, and the future looks good.

Marilyn, oh Marilyn!

To sign up, hit us up on Facebook or RSVP on the website. Bring a friend, bring three – seats are already filling up fast! It’s Bus time.

New Music Thursday – St. Joe Louis

Saint Joe Louis

Saint Joe Louis

These dudes are doing it right. St. Joe Louis is a trio from New Jersey and Texas who make some good music that sounds so nice. Two tracks for your consideration, first up Vision Test, a nice flip of Mr. K West’s “Say you will”. The second, the Searchin’ freestyle is a touch more uplifting, a team effort that gives you a little something to bop your head to on a warm evening with the windows down.

Get ‘em! And thanks to Tone and Rock the Dub for the looks.

Not just about noodles and long walks

This can be confusing, so let’s break it down: the video below features Marco Polo, the Toronto/New York sample-happy producer. It is not a video about: a) Marco Polo, the above-mentioned lover of pasta, b) Polo da Don, Garageband loving producer of such standout tracks as “Make love in this club”, or c) polo, the horse/bike mounted sport involving mallets and the risk of horrific accidents.

Nope, just one of your favorite producer’s favorite producers. You may have seen him locally a  couple years back in the Big Tune finals, and if not, now’s your chance.
