The Fellows have officially stepped onto the Magic Vote Bus. What is the Magic Vote Bus, you ask? Well, it is certainly magical. It certainly is serious about turning out voters. It is friends with the Voteshark. Its driver is into science or something. There may or may not be an iguana. It has all of these elements, to be sure. But if you were to sum up the Magic Vote Bus in one sentence what would you say? What is it?

It’s the Best Doorbelling Voter Turnout Knockout EVER.

Join Your Friends in the Politics Business, the 2010 Summer Fellows, on the (metaphorical) Magic Vote Bus. The Fellows, as you know, love doing field work. And they want to help you learn to love fieldwork, too.

So: if you think you’re cool enough to knock doors with people who spend their free time knocking doors (which you totally are!), meet us at Delridge Park at 10 AM on Saturday, August 14!

Ok, we’re totally making that up. Sorry to get you excited like that.

But they are bringing two things back: Kevin Calabro and collaboration. How did they do it? Well, neither ever really went away, as this improbable combination shows. But what the Truck managed to do is something so genius only the best bootyshakermakers in Seattle (the three producers of Truckasauras) could think of it: they combined Kevin Calabro and collaboration into one name, Kevin Collabo.

Mind. Blown.

But seriously, folks, this show is going to be crazy good. Allow us to explain the concept: Truckasauras + 30 badass Seattle MCs* + you + Kevin Calabro (I can only hope) + Kevin Durant and the Supersonics (for which I no longer hope but instead have a deep dark pit of blackness due to the destruction of the aforementioned hope but have some residual, instinctive emotional response that may or may not, in the end, be some form of hope) at Neumo’s, tonight, at 8 pm.

So good God, people, get up for the downstroke at Neumo’s tonight!

*Those would include Spaceman, Geo, Khingz, and SK…

VOTESHARK IS ANGRY. It’s time to fight. Know why? It’s not only because you need to check out the Progressive Voter’s Guide, though that’s one reason. It’s because… well… SHARKS ARE ANGRY, OK?

Ahoy there! We have had some meaty posts this week for Shark Week, so I need to take out the big harpoons for Fashion Friday.

So we are going to take a bite out of fashion trends that tie in with our nautical theme. Think of this as the Hamptons meets mid-century Americana. Without the awkward confrontations with the pool boy…and your cousin.
