Yakima in the building

Yes, it’s true. The Bus is lamping in Yakima, the Palm Springs of Washington, with our friend, mentor and all-around Central Washington tour guide EJ Juarez. He tells us “it’s ironic that you’re calling this post ‘Yakima in the building,’ as we’re sitting next to a clutch of buildings that are about to be torn down.” Oops. Our bad.

The Bus is here in the Yak to train a group of high school students on how to run a field campaign. Walk lists? Check. Scripts? Check. Knowing how many doors you have to knock on to win a school board bond campaign? Well, we’re figuring that out…

And because it’s cloudy in so much of the state, here’s some photos from sunny Yakima (again, Palm Springs of Washington, you know that) to get you through the final throes of winter.

Yakima. We salute you.

It's always sunny in Yakima. Just like Philadelphia.

More after the jump…

The theatre!

Yakima holds these truths to be self evident.
