Looking fresh as all get out

BunnyBall2_002_blog

Super official. Thanks to Adam Haynes for the ridic bus design – you can see it on our business cards if you’re into that type of thing, to Opticons for connecting us, and Spacecraft for putting together yet another work of art. If you didn’t know, now you know!

We’re both proud and a little sad

You know the Bus is all pro-local music, almost to a fault. It’s just how we are. But sometimes even our limits are tested. Case in point, the following, which we only recently became aware of.

Sir Mix-A-Lot, local man about town and king of your cousin’s wedding reception dance party, has the dubious distinction of being sampled for the Pussycat Dolls’ song “Don’t cha.” Yes. Those Pussycat Dolls. The Bus is not snobby, but we know they are bad music. And it breaks our heart.

Don’t believe? Take it to the tape – just listen to the choruses of both. Here’s Mix’s “Swass.”

And the Pussycat Dolls “Don’t cha.”

That’s the sound of puppies crying.

Bunny Ball 2: The Mile High Club

Kinda like... yeah, just like this again. Only more so.

Kinda like... yeah, just like this again. Only more so.

No. Not THAT Mile High Club.

Remember that party we threw in February around the inauguration? Yeah, us too. It was a good time. So we thought we’d do it again. Why? Because we can. And because we can help the uber-awesome I-100, aka the No New Jail initiative.

Here’s how it works: on Sunday, May 24th, we’re throwing Bunny Ball 2: The Mile High Club at Havana, in the heart of Capitol Hill. Just like in February, we’re getting together with some of our best friends – Sno Con, Spacecraft and Caffe Vita, Initiative 100 – to make Memorial Day weekend, well, memorable. We’ll have limited edition Bus posters (shout out to Opticons) and good Bus swag galore.

As always with the Bus, the formula goes a little something like this: dance/politics/dance. To that end, we’ve got three of Seattle’s finest on the wheels of steel: Sabzi (Blue Scholars), DJ Niros (Beta Testerz) and Ill Cosby (no affiliation, but dang that’s a great dj name).

You, good friend, are totally invited. You can totally RSVP/see pics from Bunny Ball 1 on Facebook. And we will totally see you there.
