You, the Bus, Olympia, February 15th

This could be you!

Riddle me this: what is less interesting sounding than the word “budget”? Nothing? Could be. But for Washington, the State budget is what determines pretty much EVERYTHING. You like financial aid for higher ed? Budget. You like environmental programs? Budget. You like basic health care? Budget son!

So when we say we’re going down to Olympia to talk to our elected officials about the budget, the LAST thing you should do is think that it’s not hugely massively insanely ridiculously important. Because it is.

And we think you’re the best person to tell your legislators exactly that. Hey, you know what? You should come with us to Olympia! Oh yeah! Totally! It’s going to be a huge day, and we want you there. This is the big one – you must be there!

And yes, it’s on President’s Day, so you don’t have work and you don’t have school. POW
