Have you ever heard of a Jewish hip hop artist who raps about religion and who doesn’t swear? Well Seattle has one in Sportin’ Life Record’s, D. Black. D. Black arrived on the Seattle hip hop scene when he was only 15 and immediately made an impact with his introspective lyrics. Now a 22 year old and Sportin’ Life’s biggest artist, Seattle is lucky that he is still playing shows frequently around the city. On Saturday (12/19), D. Black is performing at Chop Suey with Yirim Seck, Tha Stay Hi Bros and Candidt. Doors open at 9 PM and the show only costs $7 so why wouldn’t you go? Unfortunately the show is 21+ and unfortunately there aren’t any really interesting All Ages shows.
